Selah native Ben graduated from the University of Washington in 1984 and immediately following, began working at Central Washington Insurance. A few years later he purchased CWIA from his father when Karl retired. Ben and his wife raised four daughters in Selah, where he has been an active volunteer in the community for many years, especially in the realm of youth sports.
